Maranello is a large property on the outskirts of Thaxted surrounded by fields and with a large recreational ground to the rear. The property provides accommodation for 9 people with a learning disability. The grounds extend over an acre and there is a large garden with activity areas. The home has the advantage of being located in a rural setting along with excellent community facilities in Thaxted, including a small supermarket, post office, library and pubs. There are excellent bus links to the local towns of Saffron Walden, Great Dunmow and Braintree, which have more extensive shopping facilities and many leisure facilities. There are train links from these towns. There are other facilities within easy reach, such as churches, sports and leisure facilities, hairdressers, colleges and parks.

Scott Healey
Home Manager
Scott is the Home Manager at Maranello and has been part of Zero Three Care since joining in 2020. Scott started his career in domiciliary care as a Support Worker and has worked his way up into management. He has worked across three Zero Three Care homes sites, gaining a wide range of experience and developing a good understanding of the different needs of the people we support.
Scott has completed NVQs in Health and Social Care and is passionate about providing good quality care, supporting his team, and creating a safe and positive environment where people feel respected, valued, and able to enjoy fulfilling lives. He has been involved in three CQC inspections, with all three homes receiving an overall rating of “Good”. This has helped Scott develop a strong understanding of maintaining high standards and ensuring people remain at the centre of everything the team does.
Alongside his role as Home Manager, Scott is also a PROACT-SCIPr-UK instructor, supporting staff with training around positive approaches to behaviours of concern. He particularly values low-arousal approaches, helping to reduce distress, maintain dignity, and keep everyone safe.
